the why

One of my absolute favorite things to do with my 3 year old daughter, Aspen, is sit down and look back at our family photo books. Every year I create a photo book documenting all our captured memories throughout the year. Being 3, she doesn’t always remember all the special moments, but we look back through the photos together, and I tell her all about the memories. I just love to see her little light up and her mind soaking it all in. It’s also SO important to have family pictures up around the house! Your kids will see these and be reminded every day how cherished and loved they are.

the experience

For every session, my main goal is to capture your family as authentically as possible. Come to the session ready to play & have fun with your family as if I’m not even there. Of course I will direct & pose as much or as little as needed, but I aim to allow time for candid moments to occur naturally. I want to capture this time in your life at accurately as possible… even if that means your kiddo brings along his or her favorite stuffed animal. With experience photographing so many families, as well as having my own family photographed, I have found that the photos that mean the most are the ones that are far from perfect. The photos that give you that feeling of nostalgia will be the ones where you are giving you kiddo a piggy-back running down the beach or playing airplane in your backyard. I want to bring you back to this time in your life in a way no “perfect/all looking at the camera” photo could.

    Taylor is absolutely wonderful. I would HIGHLY recommend her to anyone looking to have pictures done. She is so sweet and caring. She took the time to get to know us and the dogs. She helped us finalize outfit choices to make sure everything would look great on the beach. She was super easy going and if the dogs didn’t want to cooperate, she moved on to a new pose with no fuss. The entire experience felt like a fun outing rather than a posed photo session. Her editing style is also PERFECT and she truly captures the beauty of the photo. 10000/10 would recommend her!!!

    What a blessing to have found such a talented photographer! Taylor is so good. As a photographer myself, I am PICKY. I struggle with liking pictures of myself, am particular about editing style, and my kids rarely want to be still which means you get very little “stand and smile.” We’re not local to the area, so finding Taylor really was just such a luck thing! Will recommend her for years to come and will hopefully be returning to her annually for our family trip.

    We were visiting the area from Denver and took the opportunity to get family photos done. Taylor was absolutely fantastic throughout the entire process and we love the photos she took. She knows toddlers and was excellent at getting our 2 year old son to smile and be playful.

    Her photo style is absolutely stunning for weddings, too. If only I could do it all over again with a beach wedding in Florida!

    I wish she was closer to Colorado so that we could use her again for all of our photos going forward. Thank you, Taylor!
